Psalms 119:105

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
This thought had been on my mind in one way or another. The idea of putting Christ first in our lives. Seeking first the kingdom of God.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
We sang a song tonight that I had heard some of the verses of but not the full song. Thy Word by Amy Grant.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

When I feel afraid,
Think I've lost my way,
Still you're there right beside me.
And nothing will I fear
As long as you are near.
Please be near me to the end.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

I will not forget
Your love for me and yet
My heart forever is wandering.
Jesus be my guide,
And hold me to your side,
I will love you to the end.

Nothing will I fear as long as you are near.
Please be near me to the end.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,
And a light unto my path.
You're the light unto my path.

The text of the evening sermon was from Psalms 33

Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. 2  Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. 4  For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. 5  He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness [1] of the Lord6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7  He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8  Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9  For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10  The Lord bringeth [2] the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11  The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all [3]generations.

12  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
